The Coalition was established in 2007 by a group of concerned citizens and community stakeholders.
"The Coalition is organized for the charitable purpose of reducing substance abuse among youth an, over time, among adults by addressing the factors in the community that increase the rish of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the reish of substance abuse. (Note: Substance include tobacco, alcohol, and any other illegal mood altering substance where their use is prohibited by Federal, State, or local law.)" -Coalition Bylaws
